Bargaining with Efficiency Manitoba

On Feb 18th,  the CUPE Negotiating Committee met with Efficiency Manitoba to exchange proposals. Due to the pandemic, we are bargaining virtually – a first for us.

At the bargaining table for CUPE are:
– President Michelle Bergen
– CUPE National Rep Stephen Terichow-Parrott
– CUPE Treasurer Mike Kubrakovich
– Efficiency Manitoba Rayden Labelle

The results of the 2020 Bargaining Survey have provided direction and priorities, with a focus on wages, job security, benefits and pension, to list a few.

In keeping with The Labour Relations Act, we are negotiating in good faith, with all proposals and detailed discussions to remain confidential during negotiations. Once we reach a tentative agreement, proposals and recommendations will be brought to the membership for ratification.

Your negotiation committee has been meeting and will continue to meet regularly to discuss and strategize on your behalf.

We will, of course, update you regularly regarding bargaining dates and any progress we are making on your behalf.

Our next scheduled meeting is March 3, 2021

Your CUPE 998 Negotiating Committee
